Will Lyons wine columnist for The Sunday Times will present us a varsity practice flight at Kings College on Wednesday January 15th at 7 pm.
Will Lyons is an award winning wine writer and broadcaster.
More importantly for us however he is an expert on the varsity match!
Will Lyons co-authored a book about the varsity match “Reds, Whites & Varsity Blues: 60 Years of the Oxford & Cambridge Blind Wine-Tasting Competition”. Will Lyons is the Edinburgh Judge for the Edinburgh v St. Andrews Varsity match that determines the Scottish participant in the Pol Roger European Varsity Competition in Champagne. The mirror of our Oxford v Cambridge Varsity Match. Further more Will Lyons was one of the judges for the Pol Roger European Varsity Competition in Champagne.
Will lyons is also a fine wine advisor for Berry Brothers & Rudd and the Oxford v Cambridge Varsity match will be held at Berry Brothers in London this year.
If you are interested in trying out for the varsity team this will be a valuable practice session before the trials.
