Get the easy stuff right first. That’s our motto. This week we will teach you about “Bankers,” a group of well-known, easily recognizable wines that have a distinctive palate and aroma. If you want to improve your blind tasting skills, these wines are the place to start!
This session will be led by excellent wine teacher and former CUBWTS president Dr Tom Ogden, Varsity winner 2019, reigning European Champion, and Left Bank Bordeaux Cup finalist and coach.
The tasting will feature 6 different whites and 6 different reds, and is beginner-friendly: don’t worry if you missed the intro session!
Please bring your own set of 6 ISO tasting glasses, available to buy here. These will be available for collection on Sunday!
Date: Sunday October 24th
Time: 7.15 – 9.15 pm (Please arrive at 7pm so we can start pouring right at 7.15pm!)
Where: St. Andrew’s Hall, Chesterton CB4 1DH
Cost: £18
Tickets go on sale at 6pm on Monday 18th October. Due to technological difficulties, there is a limit of 2 tickets per person- any further tickets bought by the same person will be refunded and invalid for the tasting. We will run a manual wait list for this session, with details in the email detailing this session!
Please note: for those who bought tickets for the first banker session, the ticket price was incorrectly set to less than £18- these people will be contacted.
