Event Details

Far away from the old fashioned and complicated appellation d’origine contrôlée laws of France something exciting is fermenting. Come find out what the renegades in Argentina, New Zealand, and South Africa are up to. They may not be legally allowed to make “authentic Champagne”, but they have more than a few wines to be proud of.

In this session we will be exploring New World specialties with Emelyn Rude!

A product of the New World herself Emelyn Rude is the co-president of the wine society and top taster at last year’s Varsity match. She is doing her Ph.D. on Food History here at Cambridge and we are excited to have her sharing her wealth of knowledge with us this Sunday.

We will be tasting 6 whites and 6 reds.

Please bring your own set of 6 ISO tasting glasses, available to buy here. These will be available for collection on Sunday!

Date: Sunday February 16th
Time: 5 – 7:30 pm (Please arrive at 4:45pm so we can start pouring right at 5pm!)
Where: Bevin Room, Churchill College
Cost: £14
