Back to basics with Steve Hovington

Event Details

Did you want to come to a session last term, but couldn’t make it? Came to a few but want to revise the basics? Want to see if (or how!) you can identify some classic wines?

We are delighted to welcome Steve Hovington DipWSET of The Cambridge Wine Academy for this session. Steve is a WSET certified educator and is a member of the Association of Wine Educators, so is the ideal person to guide us through typical flights of white and red wines. You’ll find some classics in there, as well as some more interesting wines, all distinctive in some way. Hopefully, as well as learning about blind wine, you’ll also discover some new wines that you enjoy!

As usual, the tasting will feature 6 white wines and 6 red wines.

Please bring your own set of 6 ISO tasting glasses. Glasses are available to buy here.

You will also need to show evidence of a negative same day lateral flow covid test at the door.

Date: Sunday January 30th
Time: 7.30pm (Please arrive at 7.20pm so we can start pouring at 7.30pm!)
Where: Leckhampton dining hall, 37 Grange Rd, Cambridge CB3 9BJ (please use the entrance via the carpark at the end of the avenue)
Cost: £18
Tickets go on sale on Tuesday 25th January at 6pm, until Thursday 27th January at 6pm. Each person can buy a maximum of two tickets; further tickets bought by the same person will be refunded.
