Event Details

Is it Greman, is it French? No one is really sure, but the wine’s of Alsace are loved by everyone. What is it about the foothills of the Vosges mountains that lends these wines their special magic?

We are excited to welcome Steve Hovington to guide us through the factors that make the wines of this region so fabulous. Steve is a rock musician (B-Movie), who fell in love with wine while touring Spain in the 1980s. Steve is the founder and chief wine educator of The Cambridge Wine Academy.

Over the last two decades he has worked for leading UK wine merchants Oddbins and Cambridge Wine Merchants. Steve holds the WSET Diploma in Wine & Spirits and is a member of the Association of Wine Educators. Steve runs dozens of WSET courses each year in Cambridge. He has guided hundreds of people out of wine ignorance into the light of wine love.

The tasting will feature 6 different whites and 6 different reds.

Please bring your own set of 6 ISO tasting glasses, available to buy here. These will be available for collection on Sunday!

Date: Sunday February 9th

Please Note the tasting will run 6-8 pm so as not to conflict with the Wine Society Drop In Event.
